Women Employment Project
Since mei 2023, Majestic Accessories started our partnership with the NGO the Blue house project in Pushkar, India. The organization supports families from the lowest caste within the caste system, -also called the scheduled caste-, through education and employment programs. Within this community, the people are significantly economically and socially marginalized within Indian Society and thus lack opportunities to earn a decent living. Women especially have limited to no chances for education or a decent job.

As a B2B jewelry company, we take accountability and give something back to the low-income community where we have our production. We have set up a training program to bring development through education and employment. In collaboration with our partner brands/retailers, we provide these women with sufficient orders and so, decent wages. On May 28th, 2023, we opened our workshop facility where we teach women of all ages a broad variety of skills. From quality checking, and packing to jewelry making. From sewing jewelry pouches to blockprinting. Within less than a year, these women are now skilled enough to independently run production for our private label partners.
Most of the women have never been to school and are arranged married before the age of 18. Within the scheduled caste, child marriages are tradition and therefore everyday practice. Through our employment program, they earn a decent income and become more independent.
